• Personal Jurisdiction (PJ): Court's power over the parties. In MD, bases are: 1) Consent, 2) Presence, 3) Domicile, 4) Long-arm statute.
• Subject Matter Jurisdiction (SMJ): Court's power over the subject matter of an action or the nature of the kind of action at issue.
• Specific Jurisdiction: Cause of action must arise from activities covered by the long-arm statute.
